For us telling these famous stories had to include the professional & personal journeys of each world champion adding layers of depth & richness to our unique story. Allowing their legions of fans / our viewers to connect with these incredible athletes on a very personal level. Our film explores various aspects of their lives, starting with their early experiences with longboarding, the challenges they faced along the way, their dedication to training & self improvements, and the defining moments that led to each of their world championship victories.

 

For the Great Roger Hickey, we delve into his pioneering spirit, need for speed  & the insane passion that drove him to compete in the streets of California in the late 1970’s. Overcoming all kinds of obstacles, fierce rivals, loads of drama on and off the course & establishing himself as a dominant force in longboard skateboarding & street luging. He is the Micheal Jordan of the sport and the idol of every racer.

Biker Sherlock definitely fits the description. Biker's story has been documented forever embedded in the history books: Owner of Dregs Skateboards and leader of Team Dregs; World Champion and multiple X Games and Gravity Games Champion in both downhill and street luge; entrepreneur and race promoter; and much more. His story and legendary status as the most talked about longboarder is only suprpassed by his emense contributions to the sport. A father, husband & indusrty idol. To this day his tragic death in 2015 remains a mystery. We celebrate his life

 

Zak Maytum’s journey & his ascent to the top of the longboarding world, discussing his innovative techniques with the invention of his own Venom wheels brand. As well as the impact he had on the sport during that era.

 

Landyachtz creator himself Tom ‘Meatball’ Edstrand’s story focuses on his epic contributions to the sport in the early 2000s, exploring his unique style and approach as well as the personal challenges he faced on his path to becoming a world champion & global longboard business icon .

 

Finally, Harry Clarke’s narrative centers around his rise to prominence in the mid-2000s, examining his dedication to the sport, his triumphs on the global stage becoming a world champion, and the legacy as one of the sport’s most influential figures .

 

By weaving together these individual journeys, using actual footage, animation & reenactments that transport the audience back in time to the exact moments, our film creates a comprehensive and engaging story that celebrates the evolution of longboard skateboarding and honors the achievements of its world champions throughout the years and identify the key people who helped make this sport what it is today.
